Reflections From the Cross is our bimonthly newsletter for keeping members advised of the mission and focus of the parish, as well as alerted to news and upcoming events. For material submissions, to receive a copy, or ask for more information about items listed therein, contact the church office.

Boards and Committees
The Pastor is the local steward of the mysteries of God (1 Corinthians 4) as our spiritual shepherd and guide, administering the Word and Sacraments. Various boards and committees serve to further the Gospel in among our parish family and in outreach.
In accord with our constitution and by-laws church boards include the following:
- Christian Mercy
- Christian Schools
- Christian Youth
- Church Properties
- Elders
- Parish Education
- Parish Fellowship and Hospitality
- Stewardship
Standing Committees include:
- Chancel Guild
- The Chancel Guild takes responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of the altar and chancel area of the church for the Divine Service and special occasions. They coordinate seasonal floral arrangements for beautifying the church and tend ministerial vestments, among other matters pertaining to worship. Volunteers are welcome.
- Swaddling Clothes
- The Swaddling Clothes ministry serves families in need. You can find more about this ministry on our Swaddling Clothes page.
Church Groups and Regular Activities
Bible Study
We meet for on-going catechesis and discussion of God’s word every Sunday Morning at 8:45 A.M. in the Fellowship Hall. We are currently studying the Gospel of Matthew.

Wednesdays at 9AM we meet so our faith can be further formed by God’s Word. We are currently studying 1 and 2 Kings. Join us in the Fellowship Hall.
Choir and Music Activities
Music activities are varied and numerous in our parish. Our 28-rank organ is a gem. The Adult Choir and the Handbell Choir lead and adorn services with special music and instrumentalists occasionally offer special accompaniment. The Handbell Choir practices at 9:00 A.M. Saturday, followed by Adult Choir practice at 10:00 A.M. Contact the church office if you are interested in participating.
Hospitality / Fellowship Committee
The hospitality committee provides meals and general hospitality for church functions, funeral dinners, and other occasions.
Ladies Night Out
Usually the first Monday of each month, the women head to varying local dining establishments in mutual conversation and consolation of the faithful.
Men’s Night Out
Usually the first Monday of each month, the men head to varying local dining establishments in mutual conversation and consolation of the faithful.
Men’s Bible Breakfast
Men’s Bible Breakfast meets each Tuesday at 7:00 A.M. over a fresh homemade breakfast in the Fellowship Hall for a deeper investigation and discussion of God’s Word. Currently, we’re studying 2 Peter. We conclude our study by praying Matins at 8:00 A.M. No advance reservation is required.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes are offered for children age 3 and up. Classes begin Sundays after an opening with the Adult Bible Study class at 8:45 A.M. in the Fellowship Hall. There is a nursery for children up to the age of 3.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is offered each summer (dates vary from year to year). It is designed for children of members and ECC families of all ages, but non-members are most welcome.
