CELEBRATE THE 500th ANNIVERSARY OF THE LUTHERAN REFORMATION
On October 31, 1517, German theology professor Martin Luther wrote 95 Theses, or topics of academic debate, and posted them on the Castle Church door in Wittenberg, Germany.
In the 500 years since that time, Christians who desire Biblical purity in church teaching and practice have joyfully and proudly vowed to follow Holy Scripture over and above all other religious dogmas. This theological stance is detailed in the Lutheran Book of Concord, originally published in 1580.
We at Holy Cross invite you to celebrate Reformation–500 with us! Come to hear God’s Word and be assured of your forgiveness and eternal salvation, thanks to Jesus Christ, our Lord and only Savior from sin. That’s truly the best part of the heritage that has been left to us by the legendary Christian church Reformer, Reverend Doctor Martin Luther (1483-1546).
